SOLIBAD
– Solidarity and Badminton

The primary objective of SOLIBAD is to raise funds within the global community of badminton, with the help of both amateur and professional players, and to donate the money raised to various local projects, some of which are badminton related, and that have been chosen carefully for their sustainability.

SOLIBAD's pledges :
- 100 % of all funds will be assigned to the projects
that have been selected but all of the administrative costs will be fully covered by our partners.

- Epicurians with Solidarity SOLIBAD’s objectives will be carried out with generosity and a joyful spirit.

The foundation SOLIBAD – Badminton Without Borders - was given a major boost with hot news to share during the recently held World Championships in Paris, France.

Paris, September 2nd 2010.

Big guns from the badminton circuit joined the foundation as Ambassadors such as Lee Yong Dae of Korea and Kenichi Tago from Japan, while Rexy Mainaky, former Olympic Gold medalist, accepted SOLIBAD’s offer to become one of the 4 coaches in the world to represent SOLIBAD.

FRANCE Fans launch new trend - Badminton Flashmob

More than 400 French fans gathered in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris and several other cities all through out France to promote SOLIBAD by doing a "FLASHMOB", a short spontaneous choregraphy. A first which the SOLIBAD team hopes to spread to the whole world in 2011 for a united Solibad Day.
First, there was Pi Hongyan, starting a badminton “shadow” routine, alone on the empty 2000 square Meter grass of the Champs de Mars – one of Paris’s biggest Park right down the Eiffel  [ ... ]


AUCTION - Peter Gade's medal and shirt bring 800 € for Haiti

Thanks to the generousity of 5 times European Champion Peter Gade, the "1000 rackets " project gathered almost 800  €.

From May 7th to May 17th Peter Gade gave his shirt and European Gold medal to auction and the outcome of the week of auctions was almost 800 € in cash which will benefit the project 1000 rackets for Haiti, launched jointly by SOLIBAD - Badminton Without Borders  - and Peace and Sport.

Funds raised will be used to buy equipment and send it to Haiti, where Peace and S [ ... ]
