Paraplume

Paraplume is Solibad’s newest project, based in France, and vows to bring down the barrier between the disabled and non-disabled people, using Badminton as a tool to do so.

The pilot-project is based in a small city of Britanny, Ploemeur, where three stuctures are working hand in Hand to make this happen. A badminton club, an Association for Handicapped people, and a structure that welcomes people with disabilities. The project is to have all three structures work together to have handicapped people having badminton sessions on a regular basis with valide players, in order to bring down the barrier of communication and bring together these two world on the same court.

On a longer term basis, the idea is to get more clubs and local structure to work together and have regular sessions of badminton involving both valid and invalid players, mixing both worlds to allow a better understanding, a better communication between the two, with badminton as a tool.
