Paraplume is Solibad’s newest project, based in France, and vows to bring down the barrier between the disabled and non-disabled people, using Badminton as a tool to do so.
The pilot-project is based in a small city of Britanny, Ploemeur, where three groups are working hand in hand to make this happen. A badminton club, an association for disabled people, and a group that welcomes people with disabilities. The project is to have all three groups work together to provide badminton sessions on a regular basis with, in order to bring down the break down barriers and bring together these two worlds on the same court.
All the handicaps, physical or mental, are welcome in this project.
On a longer term basis, the idea is to get more clubs and local groups to work together and have regular sessions of badminton, mixing both worlds to allow a better understanding, a better communication between the two, with badminton as a tool.
