Taramana Project

New project in Cambodia thanks to Taramana!

For more than fifteen years, the Taramana association, based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, has been working to improve the daily lives of children living in extreme poverty. It offers a wide range of activities, from educational assistance and sports to creative workshops and medical support.

It was within this structure that badminton made its debut in 2022, thanks to Emma, who spent six months with the children of Taramana. She had brought a few rackets via Solibad and introduced the youngsters to the sport, offering them a moment of play and escape. Her initiative really struck a chord with the children, and the activity became a natural part of the Taramana program.

To ensure that the new badminton activity takes root, Solibad has decided to support Taramana by funding a coach for the season. The teams on site are currently actively looking for the right person to coach the young players and enable them to play regularly.

Thanks to this collective effort, badminton will become a sustainable sport for the children of Taramana.
